Profile: Akriti started learning Hindustani Classical music at the tender age of 5, from her mother, who is a post graduate in Hindustani Classical music and her Guru (Late) Sh. Byomkesh Banerjee. She gave her first stage performance at the age of 5 years and from there became a part of “Little Stars” the Anand Ji (Kalyanji Anandji fame) troupe, where she made her way through two world tours. Winner of TVS SA Re Ga Ma National Talent Hunt 1998 (Junior / Children’s Special) on Zee TV, The most prestigious award from Sangam Kala Group (New Delhi).
She is a well known Bollywood Playback Singer and has rendered her voice for many popular movies such as - “Shakalaka Boom Boom”Title song, “Aanan Faanan” from Namastey London, “ Dekhu tujhe to pyaar aaye” from Apne, “Johnny Gaddaar” Title Song Film, Jail House Rock” from We are Family etc..
Besides these Akriti has also sung many songs in other regional languages, the song in Bengali Film “Paglu” has become the biggest chart buster song in Bengali films. Recently she released her solo music album "AKRITI" with fresh original tracks.
